Karen's House

A couple weeks ago we went to Karen and Jared's new house in Phoenix. We didn't bring swimsuits, so the kids swam in big t-shirts, and had a great time. One little guy went in the nude, and loved it.

Float

The float I spent a lot of time stressing about. The parade theme was "We Love Thy House, O God." The bottom tier was my kitchen table, and my neighbor made the top tier for me, then we painted it white. The steeple is a garden obelisk wrapped with white paper.

I'm much less stressed now.

Belated Birthday Party

I put off the party as long as I could. We were waiting for the pool to be done, then the decking. Then we went to the reunion. I finally set a date, and we had the three girls friends birthday party this morning. Abbey and Emma both chose fruit pizza for their "cake" and Janna chose brownies, which she made herself. Abbey and Emma decorated their pizzas on their own as well. Not too many of their friends came, but I think they had fun anyway.

Diagnosis

After finally convincing myself this wasn't her eczema flaring up, I took Brook to the doctor. He says it's herpes simplex virus, which could be lots of different things. No treatment, just neosporin and bandages. She's in a lot of pain.

And, 7 months post ear tube placement, James' ears still look like this. He's still having ear infections, lots of draining and pain.

Hair Cuts Again

I took Abbey and Emma to a kids hair cutting place here, and was not impressed. I will not be going back. The cuts are fine, but the lady was not friendly- and it's a kids place. Karen did Brook's and it's cute. Last night walking home from the pool Brook told me that now she wants her hair long again. It will be a while.

James got into the grapes on the way home from the store yesterday. Fine. Then James got into the Cherries. Not Fine!

Monday was Cami's birthday, so we had a party, of course. It was a good time.

We're havesting... LOTS! If you're in the area, feel free to come get some. The corn is phenomenal.

Curtains

After 6 months of having cardboard boxes in my windows, the curtains are hung! My family came to Safford for my birthday, and my dad graciously hung these for me. So much better.

Patio Updated

The week before my birthday the crews worked like crazy to get the paver decking done, and to install patios with different types of pavers as a display for customers to see. It turned out beautifully.
