Cover Up

I might rest a little easier tonight knowing this is going on sooner rather than later. See that box at the end of the pool? That's the cover box. As in the automatic cover that will keep the pool secure at all times, and will only be able to be opened by the key holder. Fantastic!

Pool/Slip n Slide

When the pool had to be drained and re-leveled, the kids had a great time using it as a slip and slide. It was awesome!

Little One

This little one is not so little anymore. Look at those rolls.

And after the baptism, we had a party. A POOL party. We swam from 11:30 until 8 pm. It was wonderful- except for my sunburned children. The weather was great even though it threatened to rain a few times. Thanks to everyone who came and helped with food. Especially Cami. She did a lot of hard work.

Janna's Baptism

Janna was baptized May 23, 2009 at the Safford Stake Center.

I'm afraid there will be MANY swimming pictures this summer. Yes, the pool is still dirty, and yes, we're still filling it up. Progress has been made. Backfilling is going on right now.

Suzee Ann 3 Months

H.O.W.

Sorry the pictures are blurry. I was in a hurry because people started showing up.

Jay and I (mostly Jay) hosted a Horse Owners Workshop where an animal feed and nutrition specialist from Purina came to do a presentation. We had about 18 people signed up, and about 16 showed up. I think it went well, and they had giveaways and sales on Purina feed for that night only. Jay grilled steak for the masses, and I baked potatoes and got everything set up. We'll probably do another one in the fall sometime.

Buzz

James got a new summer look. Jay told me never to do it again- it makes his head look big. Well, it is big.

This Morning

So peaceful.

Janna's Desk

Janna went around the office and gathered things to make herself a desk. She wrote a list of spelling words, a sheet of math facts, and a recipe. She's gonna be busy!

Janna's Birthday

The Pool

Jay lifting the pool with the crane. The pool coming up next to my office window (I'm on the 2nd floor).
Next to my window. I stuck my hand out to show how close it was. I could have just hopped right in.
Almost past the building. It took forever.
Jay doing some fine grading before the pool goes in. He's wearing a cooling vest. It was a hot day (Friday the 15th).
The pool up above the hole.
Going down.
In the hole. After this it came out then back in about 6 or 7 times as the guys added or moved the sand underneath to make sure it was level.
And finally at 10 pm when it was set and partially filled with dirty water, the kids couldn't resist.
Emma and Bob

Okay, the pool is in the ground- after a LONG day getting through a small opening on the side of our property. We still have a way to go before it is fully functional, but we're making progress!

The Garden

Mostly chilis and peppers in this section.
A few tomatoes, and rows and rows of corn.

Chilis and peppers again.

The garden is coming along nicely. Jay is diligent in checking the water every day, and making sure things look good. As much time and money as has gone into this, it needs to be a success.

Recital

The Whole Group
Recital Girls
Their first official recital was held at the EAC Lee Little Theater on Saturday May 9. It was very nice, and the girls had a good time. And, miracles do happen. Suzee sat in her car seat awake for almost 30 minutes straight. Suzee is not a happy baby, and is usually only quiet when she's asleep. She was wonderful. You can tell by my videography skills when she started getting fussy and when James kept trying to escape. Things got a little shaky. This whole 6 girls thing might kill me. It took forever to get everyone ready (hair) in time to be at the recital before the 10:00 am start time.
