Eggs for Sale

Every Saturday Abbey, Emma and sometimes Janna set up shop and sell our fresh chicken and duck eggs. They're doing pretty well so far- starting to build up a client base. They collect the eggs every day, wash them, put them in cartons, and label them.

Caught Red Handed

All this time I thought it was mice eating holes in the bread.

Valentine's Day 2010

Besides my heart-shaped meatloaf, this card from Bob, I mean Jay, Jr. might just have been my favorite part of Valentine's Day this year.

School Entertainment

Lilly: "Mom, we learned how to spell my middle name at school today."
Me: "Really?"
Lilly: "Yes. A-N-D."
Me: "No, you're middle name is Ann, not and."
Lilly: "But Cami told me that was right."

I was a little curious at why the teacher would be telling the class how to spell Ann.

Mesa Temple

Cami watched the kids for me on Wednesday, and just James and I drove to Mesa so I could go to the Temple. The Temple is BEAUTIFUL this time of year. I had to take pictures. I even took pictures of myself in front of the Temple, but I either had a double chin or was squinting way too much.

New Do

It's hard to take pictures of yourself. Jay's gone again, and the kids tried, but no success.

Hair Donation

This was my long mane that took 3 and a half years to grow. Glad it's gone. It's a little messy because my older children thought it was entertaining to chase James with it- he was deathly afraid of the hair, and kept calling it "goss" (gross) and "sgusting" (disgusting).

Bribes

Is it wrong to bribe my children with Dairy Queen and beg forgiveness for making them late to school today?

1- Jay is in Tucson again, and I hate being a single mom
2- Suzee is still mad at me and cried every hour on the hour all night long
3- Lilly woke me up at 3:39 am to tell me she threw up, which meant giving her a bath, changing bedding and starting laundry.

As a result, I SLEPT IN until 8:05. We usually leave the house by 8:10, so we hurried and got to the school as the tardy bell was ringing at 8:25. I drove to school with bare feet. No time for shoes. Why didn't I set an alarm? Jay's my alarm, and he's gone!

Suggestions

We need name suggestions for this little creature. Not sure if it's a boy or girl. Nobody wants to check.

Aarf!

Janna was in her 3rd grade production of Aarf! It was about dogs. Janna was a dalmation. Don't mind her ears that kind of look like bunny ears. I worked hard on them.

George, Reba and LeAnn

I was impressed with LeAnn Womack's show.
I LOVED Reba even though I've never been a huge fan.
This lady knows how to put on a show.
George can sing, but he's a pretty mellow performer.
I think we got to my mom's house about 1:30 am, then loaded the kids up and drove home. I pulled into my driveway at 5 am Saturday morning. And I got my hair cut before the concert. Karen cut off almost 12 inches.

Bad Day

Yesterday was a bad day. Suzee hates me because I quit nursing her. She'll be one in 18 days. This is the longest I've ever nursed. Ever. I'm in a lot of pain. I scream when nobody is close enough to hear me. I didn't vacuum the downstairs before bed. For 48 hours Suzee wouldn't drink a bottle or a sippy cup. She drank a little out of a regular cup (messy) and I left her with Cami while I went to work because she kept hitting me in the chest. Cami got her to drink water from a medicine dropper or a spoon. Today while we were grocery shopping I handed Suzee her sippy full of water and she just drank it. And kept drinking, and drank about 3/4 of the entire cup. Finally! I've slept on the floor for 2 nights in a row so Jay could soothe her back to sleep without her seeing me. My chest has finally stopped swelling, but hasn't gone down in size yet. Jay left for Tucson this morning, and he'll be gone for 3 days. I called Shauna last night just to complain.

On the bright side- GEORGE STRAIT this Friday!

Lilly's Party

We made candy necklaces and decorated cupcakes.

And played on the playground.
And opened presents.

And did a pinata "animal style".
I didn't have a safe bat, so I set the pinata on the ground, had everyone take 3 steps back, then counted to 3 and let them tear it apart. It was my entertainment for the day.

And Cami sported a "party hat" from the pinata.
I think Lilly was happy with her party. She wanted to invite the entire class, and that was just too much for me, so we invited 8 friends. Only 3 came, but add her siblings and we had a good sized group.

Lilly's 6th Birthday

Lilly turned 6 on Friday.
She opened her presents at our store. We were there working until almost 1 am to prepare for a sale the next day.

She and James both fell asleep on benches waiting for us to finish pricing everything. She was tired after her shopping trip with Papa and Patty, playing her new games, and having McDonalds and Ice Cream for dinner.

Money

Meet Money. He's 12 years old, and the newest member of our family. That's right. We have a horse now.
