Shots

James completed a round of Rocephrin shots today- a long-lasting antibiotic. One a day for 3 days in a row to treat his bacteria that was resistant to the amoxicillin he was already on for his ear infection. When an ear culture grew 3 different bacteria (haemophilus influenzae, staff and strep pneumonia), the doctor called us in to try to get rid of everything for good. James was a trooper. I thought by the 2nd day and for sure by the 3rd, he'd be screaming when we pulled into the parking lot. He did really well though, and only cried a little until he got a sucker. The shots were in his bum though, and when we went to the store today, he would only sit on one side, and kind of pick up the other side that was sore. Good news is I took Bob and Lilly with me on days one and two to get current on their shots. Bob was tough. Lilly freaked out completely. So, so, so glad it's over.
